1. One PhD position to work on lipid metabolism and gene therapy:
We have an open position for a PhD student within the project “Targeting acyl-CoA metabolism for the management of lipid metabolic disorders” funded by the National Research Agency and the Spanish Ministry of Science, Research, and Innovation.
In this project, we will use animal and cell models to investigate the impact of lipid-metabolizing enzymes on the progression and treatment of metabolic disorders, including dyslipidemia and fatty liver disease. This research involves cutting edge biochemical, metabolic and genetic techniques.
This is a fully funded 4-year PhD scholarship and the PhD student will enroll in the Graduate Program in Biomolecules & Biomedicine of the University of Cadiz.

Note to candidates:
– Intermediate English and Basic Spanish levels are both required
– Experience with basic molecular biology and biochemical techniques is a plus
